EZPLC has a built-in RS485/RS422 port which supports both Modbus master and Modbus slave protocols. This port which supports Modbus RTU can be networked to power meters, temperature scanners, barcode scanners, and motor drives etc. This port can also be used to communicate to Touchpanels via Modbus RTU protocol.

The EZPLC can also be ordered with Ethernet which supports Modbus TCP/IP for an incredible price of $99. With Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP, the EZPLC can communicate to SCADA, Touchpanels and of course our own EZPLCs to form a distributed I/O Network. Beside simply having Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP, the EZPLC has the unique capability of becoming a Master or a slave under software control. Most other PLCs are hardware configured to be either Master or Slave.
